Founded by Paul Strickland and Erika Kate MacDonald,        Theatre Mobile aspires to scratch that itch for alternative, bare-bones, creativity-forward theatre in           Cincinnati... and across North America!

 

INDIVIDUAL BIOS

ERIKA

Erika Kate MacDonald is an internationally-touring theater-maker whose original works have been featured Off-Broadway and have won "Best of Fest" honors on over 10 different occasions at Fringe Theater Festivals across the U.S. and Canada. Her shadow puppet horror play 13 Dead Dreams of "Eugene" was an official selection at the Twin Cities Horror Fest and was presented Off Broadway at the historic Soho Playhouse. Erika is known for her award-winning original solo shows Evacuated!, Tap Me on the Shoulder, and Fluid, as well as her thoughtful and meticulous solo show directing and innovative puppet designs. Her shadow puppet adaptation of Carnival of the Animals was recently featured at the Lincoln Symphony Orchestra. Erika currently makes her home just off the coast of Cincinnati, in Covington, Kentucky. othererika.com

PAUL

Paul Strickland's collections of stories have won "Best of Fest" honors on over 13 different occasions at Fringe Theatre Festivals across the U.S. and Canada. He was an Exchange Place Teller at the National Storytelling Festival in 2018 and in November of 2018 he made his NYC stage debut Off-Broadway at the SoHo Playhouse with his shadow and flashlight ghost story play "13 Dead Dreams of "Eugene." He was a featured teller at the prestigious Timpanogos Storytelling Festival in 2020, and will be a featured teller at several fests, including the Cave Run Storytelling Festival, in 2022. Always adapting to whatever audience is in front of him, Paul has told stories in every imaginable environment, from comedy clubs to elementary and middle schools, corporate events and even two prisons - where he was NOT an inmate at the time.
